The first episode of the EasyTalks Podcast has just launched, bringing listeners an honest and inspiring conversation about moving abroad, empowerment and change.

Hosted by Bárbara, CEO of Easyrelocation, the project aims to explore the reality behind moving abroad: the reasons, the challenges, the fears, as well as the process and decisions involved. The podcast seeks to uncover what lies behind each story and share it with others who are thinking of following a similar path.

This debut episode features Aisha Baker, an inspiring woman whose life journey spans multiple careers, countries and experiences. Aisha’s story is anything but ordinary. From nursing to working in the music industry, touring internationally while raising a family, she has built a life marked by resilience, reinvention and courage. During the episode, she reflects on the many chapters of her journey and her decision to move from the United States to Covilhã, in the interior of Portugal.

The conversation explores the empowerment that comes from stepping into the unknown and choosing your own path in life, and how that journey ultimately gave her the courage to move to Portugal on her own. Aisha speaks openly about the emotional and practical challenges of relocation, adapting to a new culture, rebuilding routines and finding a sense of belonging in a completely different environment. She explains how learning Portuguese became an essential part of adapting to her new life, not only as a practical skill, but also as a way of integrating into the community, building friendships and connecting with people going through similar experiences.

The episode also highlights the beauty of Portugal’s interior. Surrounded by mountains and beautiful landscapes, Covilhã becomes more than just a place to live, it becomes part of the story itself. The slower pace of life, the connection to nature, the welcoming community and the simple joys of everyday life are all things that make Aisha feel truly at home.

With authenticity, openness and space for conversation and reflection, the first episode of EasyTalks sets the tone for a podcast dedicated to sharing real stories, genuine experiences and the courage it takes to follow our dreams, wherever they may lead us.
